What I love about the mandalas I design, is they open up an energy portal of possibility in each person’s life. A reminder of who they are each time they look at their commissioned piece.

I am Chantal Roelofs – the founder of Your Sacred Mandala and creator of unique, one of a kind, intuitively guided, mandalas. Whilst I founded this site, and create custom made mandala’s – I truly feel like mandala creation found me !

Tuning into a person’s energy and turning that inspiration into art lights my soul on fire. To work with an individual on their personal and aspirational numerology, favourite colours, hearts desires, intentions, and potential challenges they want to get through – and how all get woven into each mandala piece through its intuitively unfolding design is an exquisite process. Each person I work with – gets so much from the initial inquiry, to think deeply on oneself can be an exercise in extreme clarity.

Where did this start?

In 2022, I enrolled in a mandala painting course. I actually enrolled in the “wrong” course (but those of us who lean into the lessons of the universe – know there is no “wrong”). I thought I was enrolling in a fine pen illustration mandala course from a women’s collective Facebook group – but it was actually a completely different woman offering a course painting mandalas with acrylic paints.

Once I bought this online course – I parked it for about 4 months, until I had a bit of time and space to gather all these foreign (to me!) artistic tools, like acrylic paints, dotting tools (think: ball bearing on a stick), giant woodworking compass and round boards. Weird tools I had never used before.....

Once I started – I could not stop.

I discovered that the brushstroke techniques I had developed through watercolour courses over the past two years provided me with a strong foundation and muscle memory for the repetitive strokes required in mandala art. My new passion effortlessly combined my enthusiasm for helping people lead their best lives with my love for colour and design, allowing me to create meditative pieces for others to enjoy.

I shared a photo of my first mandala, painted early in November 2022 using my personal numerology ("6") and favourite shades of green, aqua, and turquoise, with my friend Vera over dinner. She was so captivated by it that she commissioned a piece for herself on the spot. She was starting a new business, so wanted the number 8 (representing auspiciousness, prosperity and money flow) at its centre and loads of colour alongside her own personal numerology of “11”.

After showcasing my first piece and Vera’s mandala on a Facebook Live video, I was inundated with requests for custom creations. I had 8 commissions come through from that video, and have had dozens more commissions since then – from nearly every state in Australia, the UK, Canada and the US.

So my new friend – I am honoured you have found me and mandala artwork here on this site.
